Hi GEMS - with these newspaper freebies we use the name of the paper as the label in order to group them together. Peoplesound and others are often involved but the label is correct as "The Mail On Sunday" here - that's how we list them.
I'd certainly agree that some of them look as if they are actually S&G tracks, though of course they aren't listed as such but I'm sure they must be... unless they are live versions, or similar?
leonard: i think so, as elsewise, every separate packager used to put promos together for distribution with a newspaper'll require its own label...
(not that there isn't an argument for that: but who the packager is, isn't always clearly identified: whereas the newspaper's masthead is ime always boldly proclaimed.)
these two cds were not distributed together.
mos (mail on sunday) 039 was a freebie with the one week's mail on sunday, distributed in the double (gatefold) card sleeve with empty pocket for the second disc:
the second disc was distributed a week later in a single-pocket card sleeve.
