Süddeutsche Zeitung is a company publishing one of the quality daily papers in Germany. Here they have issued a series of CDs with 20 tracks each covering the years 1955-2004, making it a total of 1000 songs. You could buy them single or in a subscription.
(4 CDs per month). Each CD is part of a hardcover book (about 80 pages) with an essay on that year and a one-page text (sometimes 2) on each song. There are also a few pictures (b/w and in colour) referring to the respective year. size of the book:
about 13 x 21 cm.
