This was a concept in establish in 1992 and work began later in April that year. Goldnigga, Parts 1, 2 & 3, Deuce & A Quarter and Goldie's Parade were recorded at Studios 301, Sydney, Australia, during Prince & NPG's Diamonds And Pearls Tour. The remaining tracks were recorded at Paisley Park Studios, Chanhassen, MN, USA, later in 1992 following the end of the tour. 2gether was the last song recorded for this effort in 1993. While Call The Law which was previously recorded in 1991, was also added to the project.
