@Steel-River-Wet
Checking the discography of these labels I noticed that this CD was present twice (New Sound 2000 / Newsound 2000), with the same catalog number, the same barcode and the same graphic layout, the only difference being the disc label of the reissue of the 2005. Following the rules of the site whereby the same cat # / barcode corresponds to a single entry, I have combined the two issues in one page. I think I have chosen the clearest images (however the others are always present [+ 5 more]) leaving your image of the 2005 reissue CD in evidence.
The two owners of this CD, you and noel181, now appear as owners of the 2002 (noel181) and 2005 (Steel-River-Wet) editions.
I sincerely reciprocate my wishes for a Happy 2021.
Hi Guys,
Do all CD re-issues need to be re-looked at on CD Albums now? (If the answer is 'No', and I sincerely hope that is the correct answer) why then, this one in particular? Reminding members (and Mods too) that the original question was asked by MM about the label name(s).
I do (though) know why that question was asked (I would have done the same).
..but having read (and re-read) this thread in the last couple of days, I can't yet fathom out why a re-issue that was already on the site (complete with a number of scans) was suddenly moved.
(Not sure if the label variants line up with that statement at the head of the label listing, maybe further investigation required... but at least they're all on one page, and we can knock 'em about a bit from there :)
I took a look at this intricate skein of Newsound / New Sound and for the moment I have brought the two labels together under "New Sound" (just for consistency) but being an English label I am ready for any advice, improvement, opinion from the Mod staff. :)
Can I get an opinion from the people as to whether to style this label name as: "New Sound" (two words), or: "Newsound" (One word), as both seem to be in evidence on the different issues in the discography, and I'm not entirely sure which should take precedence...
...If we take both spellings as they are found on the discs / artwork, one can be made a pseudonym of the other, and so appear in the main label name discography... so that's not a problem, it's just a question of which is the lead label name?
