Apparently, this was originally issued as a vinyl album in the sixties, and re-released in 1991 when "some newer memories" were added "to the original album, including some very hard-to-get songs that have 'that El Monte feel'."

This CD was also released in 1993 as part of a 4-CD-set titled "Art Laboe's 60 Killer Oldies" (Original Sound OSCD 4001; barcode: 081658400121), in a cardboard long-box.
