In 1969 "The Spencer Davis Group" went into the studio to record a new album for Date Records. The album was finished, and Date records pressed up the finished album and was ready to put it in the stores when it was discovered that Spencer had never actually signed the contract. Even though the album never reached the record stores in 1969, in 1971 some of the pressed up albums made the deletion bins in the U.S. The cover of this CD is the original album cover used for "Funky"
