Abkco Records, owner of the Cameo-Parkway catalog delayed re-issuing for years (decades). Albums started appearing on labels such as Cam-Park and Liberty Bell, and the artists such as Bobby and Chubby were making no money from them. Both began re-cording their hits and releasing them. Bobby's earlier attempt at this, the "Dream Lover" album (see above) turned out to be unsatisfactory. In 2000, he tried again with a larger band, and this one sounded much better. The remake of "I'll Never Dance Again" sounds fantastic in stereo. Many of us are not fond of re-recorded songs, but many fans want to own everything that the artist did.
