Jasper 26th Jan 2015		I bought a few of these individually early 90's from JB Camberwell Vic. Just checked Vol. 7 - Rhino label U.S.A. I'm pretty sure they were selling the full box sets back then as well. As Henry 29 said - great quality, great content.

GEMSMFAN 25th Jan 2015		@ henry29 & The_Vinyl_Junkie: mine are also individually jewel cased. the cardboard long box was the outer packaging that ALL U.S. CD's were packaged in for security and most people threw them away. ...and any CD's that didn't come with them, were packaged in similar clear plastic packs that were heat sealed or stapled together. Some stores had their own special security case which was unlocked at the counter. Import CD's were usually locked in display cases and you got a salesperson to give you the CD's. Actually, the record industry was in one way helping record stores. Since LP's were slowly on their way out, the approx. 5½ x 12¼ box allowed stores to use their existing record bins to display the then new CD format, by splitting the bins. Europe, Japan and almost everywhere else. New furniture had to be ordered to store the little jewel cases. .... Everyone remember the LIFT system? I'm sure that was widely used in shops in Europe... empty CD cases displayed.. CD's at the counter in a large filing drawer....



The_Vinyl_Junkie SUBS 10th Jan 2015		They were available in Australia, distributed by "Shock". I was given the first five volumes by the West Oz wholesale outlet. As henry29's mine were also individually jewel cased.

Neil Forbes 9th Jan 2015		Track 11 - Games(Redeye) had been issued as a single in Australia in 1970/71 on the Festival label but the copy I have is on the American issued, Pentagram label. This sounds like a good series to have. Shame I'm not buying CDs anymore, I wouldn't mind getting hold of some of these volumes myself.

henry29 7th Jan 2015		@Record Collector. I have All 25 of these. Only mine are Individually Jewel Cased. A Beautiful High Quality Original Recordings. A Brilliant Set. And they Chose Obscure Tracks with Just a Hint of Hits Some Rare 70's Tracks that are First Time to CD. H.
