"Steve lived for the road. Aside from time spent with his family, he was always happiest on stage. No matter how large or how small the audience, his performances were always memorable and you were guaranteed a great time. Steve decided how he would approach a record based on if he could or couldn't deliver it live. One day he called me and said "we have a bus, so why don't we put a band together for my next tour?" We went from Steve playing acoustic to Steve playing with six other musicians...overnight. I don't really know how we pulled it off, but in typical Goodman fashion, we somehow or other got through it. It turned out to be a great tour and a lot of fun for Steve and everyone involved. We thought this would be a fantastic record to put out because we felt it captured the energy, fun and excitement of this tour. We hope everyone who listens to this record enjoys it as much as we enjoyed barnstorming the country."
