philwill SUBS 6th Jan 2018		Eddy Grant was indeed the lead guitarist and songwriter in The Equals in their heyday - witness the number of composer credits for Grant on NEECD 336, for example. Presumably all the references to "Eddy Grant & the Equals" were attempts by record companies to cash in on Eddy's later fame as a solo artist...



Magic Marmalade 6th Jan 2018		Have put the Eddy/ies together (merged :) I asked because there seemed to be a few Eddy Grant (+Eddy Grant + Equals) appearing on Rock 'n' Roll compilations, which I didn't think fitted Eddy Grant's reggae. If they are the same person, I'll add in Eddy Grant + Equals to his artist page.
