where there are two or more people in the composer credits for a song, the last is the lyricist; the first (or the first and the middle-listed), the tune's composer, except where a merkin song-writing duo is named; where there is only one named, they wrote both melody and lyrics. "dh" is the rendering of the "barred-d" letter, pronounced as the english voiced "th" as in "there"; " th" is the rendering of the thorn letter, pronounced as the english unvoiced "th" as in "thin" - or "thorn" (and not as "y"); my apologies for not being able to identify the producer, engineer, etc. from the credits which look comprehensive, but are in "island-ic" - of which i have none. i think the recordings were made 1-3/9/1990 at stúdio syrlandi (whose "y", like that in "hreindyrabjöllur", should bear an acute accent), with the probable exception of tracks 15 & 16, which appear to've been made 23/8/1990 at hijódhritun. bicvwbw.

thank-you - a trifle belatedly - greg45: icelandic not being one of the norse (nor scandawegian) tongues yr hmbl srppnt. has (as-yet) acquired, this ppint. made as much sense out of a couple (or prile) of copies as i could, noting what stayed constant - or seemed to. . .
(i like björk rather a lot in small doses, and've liked her spoken/self-dramatised appearances a lot - more reliably than her recordings, though not necessarily more than those of hers i've liked best. i'm definitely glad of having heard - most - of them, and shouldn't've preferred her suppressed (like the dormouse in ''alice'') some 'catters seem to suggest'd've been better.)
With a nod to ppint, scans added.
This was recorded by Björk whilst she was in the Sugarcubes,in just a few days.
The artist here is Björk Guðmundsdóttir And Trió Guðmundar Ingólfssonar i believe, and not Gling-Gló,so have put in a request to change it.
This particular copy of the CD is not the first issue (Oct 1990),which,can be identified by the use of a "singing frog/toad" as the company logo,as opposed to the "trumpet/pig" logo used here on this later reissue.
björk gudhmundsdóttir is somewhat better-known these days as, simply, "björk".
gudhmundur ingólfsson, gudhmundur steingrímsson and thordhur högnason are tríó ingólfssonar; i do not know whether & what they may've recorded under this name.
