Magic Marmalade 22nd Jul 2020
| | Nope.... Still listening obsessively to this all this time later since my last comments, and have even started micro-dancing (twitching rhythmically) along while I do the ironing.
Going to have to force myself to listen to something else, and put this to one side, or I'll end up hating it.
...maybe after the weekend :)

| | She's one of the many Polar Music Prize winners. May have shared the prize back in the day with Ennio Morricone [who left us in the last day or so] if my memory serves me correctly. |

Magic Marmalade 9th Jul 2020
| | Has she ever had one of those V&A (Victoria and Albert museum) exhibitions about her and her work, like Bowie etc.?
It would probably blow your mind if she did... I'd go along out of curiosity :) |

| | She's certainly unforgettable and very distinctive. Nobody can copy her. I have a videoclip DVD compilation of hers, she always has imaginative promo clips for her music. |

| | True of most artists kimbozw! :)
However, I think you have a point... I pretty much got off the Bjork bus after Homegenic, as what seems to happen with a lot of experimental / avant garde types, they go too far that way, and forget to be musical, in the true sense of the word.
Her last couple seem to have been very well received though, so maybe back on the bus for a look see / listen.
(Avoid Medula... it's almost unlistenable)
This, however, continues to haunt my waking hours, and experience tells me this will remain the case until something else dislodges it.
I think this might be worthy of being called a modern classic by now though.
(But should that include Play Dead or not, as it was not part of the original album? .....hmmmmmm.) |

Magic Marmalade 3rd Jul 2020
| | Only had a rather superficial engagement with this album first time around, and through intervening years... but find, oddly it's becoming an obsessive listen for me in the last week or so.
(Strange how an old album gets into you one day out of the blue like that, for no apparent reason).
((It'll be something else next week :)) |

| | The Song: Play Dead was not on the first issues of this album, but as it was released as a single due to it's inclusion in the film: The Young Americans, it was decide very soon after to re-issue it as this, with that song included. |
