Recorded 29/30th December 1997, 2nd to 4th January 1998, 2nd November 1998 and 20th, 22nd-25th January 1999 At Woodbine Street Recording Studios with: Terry Miles, Carl Picot, Marky Williams, and Freddy Lynxx
These sessions were an absolute pleasure to be part of partly because there was no pressure on us to deliver the goods in form of a product. We were literally putting down some of Nikki’s songs, along with some of Feddy Lynxx s, just for the hell of it! So, it’s great that these tracks have finally seen the light of day. Listening back to tracks such as Forest Fire, Stereo Baby and Bye Bye Johnny really show Nikki’s rock n roll heart (and in my mind ‘out rocking’ some of his released material which i think will surprise some people). Carl’s bass playing was as usual very tight, while Freddie added the solar flare with his classic Johnny Thunderesque style. I think the finished result clearly shows four guys doing what they did best which is why I’m sure you’ll agree, this material is a fitting tribute to Nikki’s heritage and his love of what he did best ROCK N ROLL....
