@PhilMH.Aha,as i suspected then, they've just not "updated" the European artwork, seems to be quite common then,at least, when the Disc and artwork aren't made specifically in Australia.Curiously, they amended the back of the booklet here (by removing "Made/Printed In Germany")(compared to PD 71513),and yet have not bothered to blank/remove the "European" indicators on the rear tray artwork (lazy so-and-so's ;),cheers.
Hi Greg, I can't speak about this release in particular, but it was very common for RCA/BMG pressings to say "Australia and New Zealand" or "Australasia", but for each country to have its own pressing. PolyGram, now Universal, do this as well. I think that's because even though those companies have (or had) branches in each country, overall management for the region is centralised in Australia. As for the "distributed in Europe", I think that's just a case of BMG not bothering to update the artwork; another example of that is some Australian Motown releases via BMG, which had German-made discs with Australian printed covers retianing the Euro distribution details, but had "Printed in Australia by Abaldyn Limited" where the bar code would have been!
Mods :
I am not that familiar with the Australian market, and have presumed that "Distributed in Australasia" is an indicator that it was distributed in Australia & New Zealand (when it comes to CD's/DVD's etc.)?.Would it not then be an idea to have an "Australia & New Zealand" option,or an "Australasian" one, rather than "International"?.
Anyone?: Am curious as to why this particular CD,that was made in Australia, seems to have been distributed in Europe(?),especially when there was also a corresponding UK/European release (PD 71513)(also 1987)?.
