 >>On second thoughts... I've changed it to just FM :) <<

Ah yes, the spines.... forgot to look at those!

(I've stowed my copy away now... doh!)

But I've grouped FM Revolver label and linked to Heavy Metal on the label pages (Nice easy label to deal deal with on the whole... which makes a nice change!)...

...The only issue within this is pretty much as you allude to: that there are one or two with the FM catalogue that go simply by the label name: "FM", so I've left those as that name, but they do appear in the FM Revolver page now, so the cat number sequence for runs through consistently.

The reason I left those as is, is that although the label logo is FM Revolver (complete) on all issues, those that go by FM alone, do so in the key aspect of the copyright and patents - some stating that the copyright is owned by FM Records, while others owned by FM revolver.

(As well as other marks following this scheme, such as spine).

((I will review this though, as now I look a little closer, I see this has the copy of "FM Records - a division of FM Revolver Records" - perhaps a secondary label?))

 Hi Magic Marmalade.
This was one of my earlier entries, so it doesn't have any images showing the spines. I think FM is the label name for FM Revolver Records Ltd, but I'm not at all sure. I'll dig out the CD and see if the spines and insert give any more information.

I've changed this label to: FM Revolver (Europe), based on two things:

Firstly, there are a few FM Revolver discs in the database under the German flag, which are the same label, and having had a look inside the booklet for this, there is a notice printed on the first inside page:

"Please note that The Heavy Metal Record Co. Ltd. changed it's name in 1986 to F.M.- Revolver Records Ltd."

Under the a patent date for tracks 1, 8, and 15 of 1985, for The Heavy Metal Record Co. Ltd. / Time Records.

(I picked up a 45 a couple of weeks back by the band: Satanic Rites (track: Live To Ride) on the Heavy Metal Records label, so assume that it is the label mentioned here... and may be of interest to anyone wondering: "whatever happened to The Heavy Metal Record label")

I will look at all the discs on this label tomorrow, and try and straighten it out a bit, but wondered what the consensus would be for the label name, and if they should all be under the Europe flag, rather than individual countries, as; Secondly: They all seem to follow the same cat sequence, etc. and are seemingly meant for pan-Europe markets, albeit being manufactured here there and everywhere.

Also, how to present that label name... with punctuation etc?

 Rare (ish) CD alert!

Found this today, now that I'm focusing a little attention on early press CDs ) looking for bar-code-less objects-de-interest. has sold for around the twenty pound mark so far, but a number of them perhaps optimistically listed on ebay around the £60 mark (can't see any sold at that price yet though)

Nice pop-metal, or easy listening metal compilation though.

- As a side-note, I'm having increasingly hard time finding bargains in the vinyl side of things at boot-fairs, as the "vinyl revival" has the down side of everyone knowing that they may be able to make some cash from albums, and so they go on ebay rather than to the boots, and those that do have hilariously optimistic prices attached now... I passed on the opportunity to buy a slightly tatty and scratched Siouxsie + Banshees album today for £25... so I'm turning more to the CD first press area now, and getting a lot more satisfaction from being able to come home with some gems at the 50p and under range.... which I'm hoovering up before people twig this too, and start charging retail or auction prices here too -
