New York Letters is the debut album by The Vague Ideas. Originally conceived as a stage play by writer and musician Mare Rozzelle, New York Letters is based upon fictional letters written and received by John Lennon in New York during the last nine years of his life.

The Vague Ideas are:

Glenn Prangnell - vocals, guitars, piano, keyboards.
Chuck Sabo - drums.
Tom Morley - trumpet.
Mare Rozzelle - backing vocals.

Glenn Prangnell is also the songwriter for Groovy Uncle, Suzi Chunk and Miss Modus. He was invited by Mare Rozzelle to write music and lyrics for this project.

Mare hopes to eventually produce a stage play of New York Letters and include the songs featured on this album.
