Beggars Road 9th Aug 2017		CD Album Etta James - Stickin' To My Guns (1994)	I first heard Etta's "I've Got Dreams To Remember" walking by a Indie record store in Olympia, WA during the winter of '97 / '98. I had to have it so, in I went and bought the album. The LP is long gone but I found it again on CD - somewhere. and I still have it.

Beggars Road 4th Aug 2017		CD Album Kevin Spacey - Beyond The Sea Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (2004)	Review If you are Bobby Darin fan like I am you will find the OST tracks very nice - as u can see by my ratings. Spacey does a very good job although, "If I Were A Carpenter" is forced & artificial (no pun intended). Now, if you've seen the motion picture, it will detract (as it did for me) from the overall representation of Walden Robert Cassotto aka Bobby Darin short life's story. Kevin found himself doing a project that he had dreamed about doing for many years and to put the cherry on top he found himself in the 'most famous recording studio in the world' with professional musicians and people behind the recording/mixing board who were some of the best in the recording industry. The result was self-indulgent and more about Spacey then Bobby. Again, kudo's to Mr. Spacey however, the bitter-sweet story of one of the greatest entertainer's of a generation would have been better served with a more objective Exec. Producer/director and screenwriter(s). As I mentioned earlier if you haven't seen the film - you will have no problems what's so ever enjoying this OST. P.S. The first time was w/ Joe Cocker & the Grease Band (Great) & Led Zeppelin BUT Zepp didn't show & The Who only played for 45 minutes. We where like in the 4th row and Moon threw a pair a drum sticks into the audience and my friend, Dave Clark, caught them and he was a drummer at the time...I could go on what we did after but I won't - not now. - 2nd time - The 'Tommy" tour - 3rd & final time - 'Who's Next' tour - where they had to use tape for the middle of 'Won't Get Fooled Again' w/ Keith Moon wearing headphones.

Beggars Road 1st Aug 2017		CD Album John Farnham - Chain Reaction (1990)	@Lee Wrecker: I remember this: I heard 'That's Freedom' on AFN (Armed Forces Network) - Europe and the bonehead "DJ" never mentioned who it was by - I even stopped by the AFN TV/radio station located right where I lived in Vogelweh, Kaiserslautern, Germany and nobody knew squat so - I never forget it and I eventually found & bought it but, I can't remember where.
