Beggars Road 19th Jun 2019		CD Album The Monkees - Good Times! (2016)	Review To hear these voices again is to take a journey back to a time when I was young on a very, very pleasant valley Sunday... "Birth Of An Accidental Hipster" is pure Beatlesque... "I was there and I'm told I had a good time" Thanks, guys! In memory of Davy Jones & Peter Tork. P.S. Beggars Road 4th Aug 2017		CD Album Kevin Spacey - Beyond The Sea Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (2004)	Review If you are Bobby Darin fan like I am you will find the OST tracks very nice - as u can see by my ratings. Spacey does a very good job although, "If I Were A Carpenter" is forced & artificial (no pun intended). Now, if you've seen the motion picture, it will detract (as it did for me) from the overall representation of Walden Robert Cassotto aka Bobby Darin short life's story. Kevin found himself doing a project that he had dreamed about doing for many years and to put the cherry on top he found himself in the 'most famous recording studio in the world' with professional musicians and people behind the recording/mixing board who were some of the best in the recording industry. The result was self-indulgent and more about Spacey then Bobby. Again, kudo's to Mr. Spacey however, the bitter-sweet story of one of the greatest entertainer's of a generation would have been better served with a more objective Exec. Producer/director and screenwriter(s). As I mentioned earlier if you haven't seen the film - you will have no problems what's so ever enjoying this OST. P.S.
