BiggieTembo 5th Jun 2015		CD Album Donovan - The Best Of Donovan (1996)	Lazyness? Not bothering? It seems there's a huge expectation by some, that all users upload in the self-imposed high standard that only a few control-oriented sticklers require. This site is a work in progress. That's the joy of it. Missing information will get filled in in time. Remember to get rid of the aforementioned expectation, and accept that some people aren't as documentation, data or detail-oriented as others, or have the time to make lengthy notes listing the gsm of the inner sleeve. Most people are just fans. Collectors. Some of the comments I've been reading addressing the fact that there's missing information in a given entry have been increasingly cynical, slightly unpolite, and full of expectation and control issues. Why not kindly request the contributor to come forward with the information? Or send them a personal message? Why not even enter the information yourself, if it's available on the internet - isn't a job best done when you do it yourself? Don't go down that line of slagging people off via the comments function - that's just too easy. I know some care about things being in order and correct. This comes from someone who works with Contractual, Judicial and Technical Documentation every working day (you'd be surprised how much importance is put on a correctly-placed comma, or a misplaced decimal point! - My melted plastic brain is totally fried when I get home!!!) It is important, yes, but guys - this is music and records and a cool hobby. This will be a brilliant archive and resource, don't worry. This is good stuff, ok. Just input as much as you can, and you'll be doing your bit for the good of the whole ;-)
BiggieTembo 31st May 2015		CD Album The Beatles - Magical Mystery Tour (1987)	True, Magic. But it always has been like this. In the 60s, the Beatles' LPs for Denmark had sleeve and inners printed in England and the records pressed in Denmark. The Stones also had a similar set-up, where alot of their records were pressed in the UK and exported to other territories. All very confusing, or fascinating, for the collector.
BiggieTembo 27th May 2015		CD Album The Who - Thirty Years Of Maximum R&B (1994)	Great package, but I remember being a bit miffed that in the following years all the LPs were released on CD with even more extra tracks and longer versions (and then they were all re-released again a few years later in deluxe formats, super-deluxe formats, Oh-God-Ooh-You-Are-So-Big formats etc.). AND alot of the tracks weren't even available in tip-top modern mixes before the box set was released - they only became available to remix after the success of the box set (read: the Shel Talmy tracks). One would think that they would sort that out before going for the box-set treatment. Oh well. So in fact, this box set works a bit like a sampler for the re-release of the LPs! Great marketing ploy by Polydor/Universal? The public says Grrrr. :-/
BiggieTembo 27th May 2015		CD Album The Who - Rarities 1966-1972 Vol. I & Rarities 1966-1972 Vol II (1991)	I read somewhere that this CD, in its initial release run, had a manufacturing mistake in it. I bought it when it came out and on the track Water, the speakers vibrate and crackle. Nasty. You could exchange it if you had a faulty one and get your money back. Trouble is I only heard this about three years after... :-/
