Curious one, pretty sure it's unofficial, but all packaging and the sound quality of both Disc's is very good. (can't find barcode/item online) (There are probably errors on the tracklisting but have entered them "as is") (It's going straight on ebay if anyone's interested)
gregs45s SUBS 24th Aug 2022		CD Album Gustavo Santaolalla - Diarios De Motocicleta (2004)	I think i recall seeing a sub-titled airing on UK TV awhile back, and i quite enjoyed it. I realise these travelougues have the security of a film crew, but, nonetheless, it was some epic journey undertaken by these two young men, a journey i would struggle to do by aircraft now ;)

gregs45s SUBS 17th Aug 2022		CD Album Mannheim Steamroller - The Music Of The Spheres (2007)	I believe this is an album sampler for this album. (although, curiously, that album wasn't released until 2013. so. a long gap) (Discogs does not have this one yet) It's probably a promo as such, but as i can't find that indicated anywhere so have left it as an "Album". Over 36 minutes total duration. (PS Are we ever going to add an "Album Sampler" option to the CD Albums menu?)
gregs45s SUBS 12th Aug 2022		CD Album New Order - Power, Corruption & Lies (1986)	With a nod to JohnnyCool/Steve G11, a few more scans of the fold-out artwork added. I've never really looked at the artwork before in detail, it is, in fact, from a painting of flowers in a basket, and, as you can see, the orientation here when looking at the painting is with the coloured bar horizontal at the top, although that is not how it is on the original LP artwork, where it is vertical on the right hand side. The text in the white box on the plain silver side reads... "Roses : Fantin Latour (1836-1904) canvas, 0.489 x 0.603 reproduced by courtesy of the Trustees, The National Gallery, London."
gregs45s SUBS 12th Aug 2022		CD Album New Order - Movement (1986)	With a nod to Apollo59/JohnnyCool, a couple more scans of the fairly thick blue card artwork that was used for this first UK release. (i haven't scanned the Disc as it's a plain silvered affair made by MPO (France) and my scanner has already developed a couple of "tram lines", so i'll leave that to someone else)
gregs45s SUBS 12th Aug 2022		CD Album The Modern Jazz Quartet - Reunion At Budokan 1981 (1984)	Early Japanese "Target" CD made in, and distributed in, Japan. From Keith Hirsh's excellent site identifying early "Target" CD's... "This disc was pressed in Japan by CBS/Sony for release in Japan. It has “CSR COMPACT DISC” repeating in the plastic ring (this copy doesn't). This Target is extremely rare." (currently going for about £25 and up on various sites) An early one, and the first black coloured "Target" i've personaly come across, unfortunately, i don't have the faux gold "OBI", but a nice find, and the sound quality is great (one of the reasons that "Target" Discs are sought after is the flat transfer rate apparently).

There are 80 odd available, from Adele to Zeppelin (no Motorhead so far though as far as i can see;). This Tool one works, and is strangely soothing... ZZzzzzzz....

gregs45s SUBS 15th Jul 2022		CD Album Creedence Clearwater Revival - Bayou Country (40th Anniversary Edition) (2010)	Looks like it's this one, so 2008 reissued in 2010 as SHM. If you look at image 2603527, you can see the date (22.12.2010)(Japanese CD's are very helpful in that way ;) so date needs changing if that's right.

They met at the University of Southampton, where they studied composition under Michael Finnissy. Originally emerging as the last mutation of The Hola, an eclectic ensemble founded by Agrimbau in 2005, After The Rain’s sound combines elements from electroacoustics, ‘free’ improvisation, and DIY aesthetics. More importantly, the group uses performance practices and creative methods derived from Persian classical music, which is at the centre of Hadisi and Agrimbau’s research projects."

gregs45s SUBS 7th Jul 2022		CD Album Paul McCartney - Give My Regards To Broad Street (1984)	Curious one, the copy i have is identical in every way apart from the rear of the booklet, which has no "Record Produced By George Martin" in the bottom r-hand box. When i checked the matrix it corresponds to this release, which, according to Discogs was "Mastered with pre-emphasis (not in TOC, subcodes only)", with the matrix "CDP 7 460432 6A2" only.

(NB Although not credited as such, band introduced as Stevie Ray Vaughan And Double Trouble) (Title is misleading, as, i believe the first radio braodcast was...Broadcast live from Austin,TX at Steamboat, April 1st, 1980, over KLBJ-FM?, but, still a great gig)
