I thought it must be Hong Kong Dollars, and i see now it's been changed to Hong Kong. The only possible discrepancy being that, as you say, Hong Kong was returned to China in 1997, this albums earliest release date was 1998, i'm not sure of the release date of this one, but it must be 1998 or later, so therefore, does that technically make it Chinese? ;)

gregs45s SUBS 13th Apr 2022		CD Album Ricky Martin - Ricky Martin	Not 100% on the country here, at first i thought it was Taiwanese because of the competition offer on the front of the OBI, but the posting address for the competition on the back of the OBI is Kowloon, so Hong Kong, so Chinese?, and i presume the $115 price sticker is in Hong Kong dollars?. There is no match on Discogs, all 3 of the Taiwanese and both the Chinese entries do not match this one, so have gone with China but, if anyone knows any different i'm happy for it to be changed accordingly.

Turns out it's nothing to do with Death Metal, the band apparently wanted to be the "Eagles" of Death Metal, so - Soft Rock / Pop.

Hadn't heard this before, not bad, good production as you might expect. According to Discogs... "The "First time on CD" claim is incorrect, as the album and the first three bonus tracks have been first time released on CD in 1997, see The Buggles - Adventures In Modern Recording." "Original album recorded at Sarm Studios, London (note: as this album was released in 1981 this credit is incorrect because it only became known as Sarm Studios as of May 2011, before that it was known as, as of 1982, Sarm West Studios when Trevor Horn purchased Basing Street Studios)"

gregs45s SUBS 8th Apr 2022		CD Album Neil Diamond - Rainbow	I always look for the European retail price codes on the rear tray artwork, which are mostly (but not always) an indication that it was distributed/sold in European retail outlets, as we did not use them in the UK as far as i know, these codes were used at the till point to tell which distributor the retailer had to pay. So here for instance you have two codes D : QM for Germany (Deutschland)(not sure who QM distributor is), and F : BM720 for France and BMG distributor. so this was on sale at least in France And Germany, so European, and, unless there was a separate UK release, then possibly the UK as well, so it's European. Of course, CD's being CD's with all their complications, this is a general guide/rule of thumb to consider, also, more often than not, later retail price codes did not indicate which country they were distributed in as they did on this one, codes then generally used two letters (the distributor) followed by three numbers, i.e PY 700 (Polygram), and, although it doesn't tell you exactly where, it does indicate it was on sale at least somewhere in Europe, as, again, we did not use these price codes in the UK. Hope that's of some help, forgive any errors (i'm sure someone will point those out;), it's a general rule of thumb i use anyhow. and it seems to work. Here's a partial list of French codes...
