I am shocked and dismayed that Brooks & Dunn's April of 2001 released seventh studio album STEERS & STRIPES is not highlighted at the site. Other CD releases too. Can someone post them?

(with Brantley Gilbert and Hardy)
The great country music singer and songwriter Toby Keith of Oklahoma has passed away from stomach cancer at the age of 62..same age as myself now, but he was about 4 ½ months older.
Toby Keith Covel was born in Clinton (in Custer and Washita Counties), Oklahoma on Saturday, July 8, 1961.
Mr. Keith passed away in his sleep on Monday, February 5, 2024.
Toby Keith's catalog of music was loaded with great, lovable, and even very fun songs. His very first charting single, when he burst brightly onto the country music scene during the first half of 1993, was "Should've Been a Cowboy." "Cowboy" became his first of twenty number one singles on the United States of America BILLBOARD entertainment magazine Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart.
I love many of his songs, and the competition is fierce trying to pick a favorite, but my traditional top choice did not reach number one, but number two, in 2006.
Thank you so much for all the great country music, Mr. Keith. Your job is done. Go rest high on that mountain alongside all the other legends of country music..

Bring a Torch, Jeannette, Isabella
This is a beautiful old 17th century French carol. I thought that the innocence of the alto recorder and the beauty of a full string section best portrayed the simplicity, and get the depth of this old tune.

Lo How a Rose E'er Blooming
15th Century German
This carol is 15th century German, also in the antiphonal treatment, this setting is a play between two composers' styles. The chorale version I used is the harmonization by Michael Praetorius done in the year 1609.
Most people are more familiar with the Bach harmonization, so I used the older Praetorius but treated my harmonization in the style of Bach.
1609 was the year Kepler wrote his treatis called "The Dream" on space travel. This was the topic of Fresh Aire V. Just another collision in time.

Here come Ray Conniff and the Singers A-caroling some of
the most beloved songs of Christmas--old, new, familiar,

through the rich treasure of Christmas music, selected some
of the most warmly glowing songs and adapted them for the
unique voices of the Singers. The result is not only a tribute
to Ray's creativity but also a wondrous reminder in song of
