kab2112 SUBS ● 4th Sep 2024		CD Album Martin Harley - Martin Harley (2003)	Picked this up yersterday in a 3 for £1 deal. Never heard of the guy but took it on the off chance as I didn't fancy anything else to go with the other two ( Bonnie Raitt & Lonestar) Gave it a spin this morning and it turns out to be a nice lttle Acoustic CD with some nice songs including one by Bob Dylan and another by Tom Waits -Well worth my 33p

kab2112 SUBS ● 20th Jul 2023		CD Album Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin [IV] (Deluxe Edition) (2014)	Although this is one of my all time favourite bands ( and this album) I find that I tend to play the "Companion Audio" disc more these days. A bit different to the oriiginal album - excellent stuff.

The original entry made by member "helbic" was correct. I have checked with him and his entry checks out with my copy. No sign of any cat # on my copy. I have added scans.

I'm not sure who was in the line up and I don't remember anything about them, so I must not have been impressed as I usually remember what I consider to be good acts. If Dave Edmunds was in the line up I would have remembered as he was known to me for his 1960s Love Scuplture output.

kab2112 SUBS ● 18th Mar 2023		CD Album Yusuf / Cat Stevens - King Of A Land (2023)	I bought both Cat Stevens albums on release in 1967 and still have them. Both were very good pop albums with some very good songs that still sound good today. When his style changed in 1970, I thought his output was fabulous and the first album of his new genre “ Mona Bone Jakon” is still one of my favourites. He continued to make excellent albums up until side one of the “Foreigner” album. By then his disillusionment with the pop business had become obvious and the quality of his output took a nose dive from then on, in my opinion. I’ve listened to a couple of his “Yusuf” albums and honestly think that he should have stayed retired. Not a patch on his early 1970’s output. I’m not expecting this to be any better.

kab2112 SUBS ● 15th Feb 2023		CD Album Molly Hatchet - Battleground (2019)	Review Being a fan of the Southern Rock genre, I managed to see Molly Hatchet on three separate UK tours. Two shows were plagued by poor sound quality but the other was superb. Although the line up for this doulbe disc package has no original members, it doesn't fail to meet their usual high standards. Good setlist and the new singer slots right in. Won't disappoint the fans. 2 people found this review helpful. ✔︎ Helpful Review?
