The White Stripes - Elephant (2003)
Hmm.... five days and still no word on whether my Aussie copy with same label, cat# and barcode makes this international or not. Still no word on whether to make a separate Australian entry or not. Surely, the rules either apply or not and if they don't they'll need to be overhauled to include second and third tier distributing companies, secondary and third level cat#s, plus whartever else counts as a difference and if that is the case it will be far too difficult for anyone to enter a CD with confidence. What do people think about this one? International or Australian??? [Made Lee's scans Australian)

Thanks MODS, for changing the details to make this an Australian entry. However, the scans are of the European edition and need to be moved the linked European release on the page as the cat#s do not match the Australian edition. Cheers, Lee.

XTC - Fossil Fuel (1996)
This could be International Discogs lists a European issue from the same year of release as having the same label, same cat# CDVD2811 7243 8 41983 2 9, and the same barcode 724384198329. I just listed this one as Australian as no others were up and this is the Australian version. Should we make this one International now before the European version surfaces as a duplicate entry or not?

Sonny Boy Williamson [II] - Bummer Road (1991)
I wasn't to know Phil but as usual I'll bet you're right. I bought it here through regular channels and was surprised it was a USA pressing when I entered it. I'll send a correction (4th for the day that's my limit I think).

Tony Joe White - The Best Of Tony Joe White Featuring Polk Salad Annie (1993)
Yes, Phil my copy (bought here) as you can see was also the European issue. What you have described above happened a lot, CDs by Dr. John, Sam & Dave, Hindu Love Gods, Otis Redding even Michelle Shocked and the like were imported at first but when they started selling local versions were pressed up. Warners were notorious for it but by no means the only ones.

Andre Williams - Black Godfather (2000)
Discogs lists this as having 16 tracks, this copy has 13 but the same label, cat# and barcode apply to both if the other Discogs listing really exists that is.

Tony Joe White - The Best Of Tony Joe White Featuring Polk Salad Annie (1993)
Oops, I've duplicated an existing entry by frank itiis but the best solution would probably be to merge my scans across to Frank's original entry and make this the Australian entry by changing the cat# to 9362453052 (no spaces) all the other details are the same. Hope this helps, sorry for the duplication.

With a nod to Tc-630 I've added a full set of scans for shuffling into place and moderation.

The White Stripes - Elephant (2003)
Australian scans added and a back cover for moderation. The MODS can decide if people think this needs a separate entry or not but as far as I can see it's International as all get out. I'll send a correction to see what they think.

The White Stripes - Elephant (2003)
I just try to play by the rules as jumbled as they may be. When there is no discernible difference I can't justify a release being Australian and personally I have no preference on whether to go National or International I think accuracy on the entry is more important. I realise Internationalizing the entire UK White Stripes XL catalogue will probably cause a ruckus. However, don't point the finger at me I am not responsible for making the rules - I just try to follow them. This White Stripes disc was distributed by Inertia in Australia and there is one reference to that on the tray, there are no logos on CD or spine to indicate that Inertia is the label. They are just the distributor and they have not altered the cat#, label or barcode so if the fact that it is distributed by Inertia is enough to make this Australian we may as well get rid of the International category altogether.

This one should be International (probably will apply to all of the White Stripes XL releases) - I'll add the Australian CD and inlay with the same label, cat# and barcode details later today.

My God, Phil, it's along a way down the page to make a comment. Are you going for the longest entry ever on 45 Worlds? When you finish this one off it may require its own server!

Violent Femmes - Add It Up (1981-1993) (1999)
I went with 1999 as the release date because the European release with the same cat# of 3984 28258 2 was released then. I could be wrong (?) but it's a start. The 1993 date on the CD etc. refers to the previous release cat# 828 399-2. As usual, any further insight or corrections are welcome.

Laura Veirs - Carbon Glacier (2004)
Thanks to Auto_Da_Fe for posting this entry. I've added a full set booklet scans to be moved into place and tacked on a Booklet Back Cover and CD Label for moderation. It's a hard CD to scan but see what you think.

Lloyd Price - Greatest Hits (1992)
Thanks Phil I'll send a correction when I think my name is not the only one in the corrections box. I wouldn't mind if you or Jasper sent one in for this. I send at least three a day at the moment and some fall by the wayside but the MODS must see my name and go "not again, what is it this time". I've already sent one in on this to have the country changed. If I have a good run tonight, I'll send one in the morning. Once again thanks for the detailed info Phil.

Thanks Jasper, I've already sent a correction on the Lloyd Price but wouldn't be great if all of these were still available for $10 a pop.

TISM - Machiavelli And The Four Seasons (1996)
No all in order Jasper. It's just what that maudlin mob of miscreants from Melbourne's Musiososo think passes for a joke. Mind you this is the only gold CD I own and it's real too! When I was at low ebb I scratched some gold off the CD and hocked it at the pawn shop to buy a slice of bread. That's why my gold CD is slightly chipped on the edges.

Thelonious Monk - Greatest Hits (1991)
I'm pretty sure these are specific to Australia and re-titled versions, or re-branded in some way for the Australian market. Discogs has no reference points on this series but a number of them I have noticed were released previously overseas but always in a completely different form. Different titles, different artwork but most importantly the cat#s and barcodes seem to always be unique to Australia. The Lloyd Price CD was made in Austria (maybe a typo) like some of yours Jasper but this one is definitely made in Australia and has the "Red Hot Series" red jewel case. So, I am of the opinion that these are particularly unique to our shores and should be listed as Australian. Phil will know for sure but the cat#s tell the tale for mine.

The Temptations - Psychedelic Soul (2000)
Identical in every way to the linked Spectrum European release except this Australian copy has the 45 Worlds' famous Australian Spectrum releases preceding "0" on the barcode. Close but no cigar. Learning all the time - we didn't need a re-run of that "Parliament"ary debacle of a week or so ago.

Peter Tosh - Equal Rights
No idea of a date, mid nineties is my guess but this came out on the tail of the Columbia (Australia only apparently) "Red Hot" series. So that is why I think mid nineties but I can't go any closer than that. The "Red Hot" series is also very hard to date for some reason so any ideas are welcome.

Thanks to BigBadBluesMan for doing this entry. There were however, no scans, so I've added a full set. The good news for MODS is no shuffling or moderating required! How easy is that.

Talking Heads - Fear Of Music (2001)
Thanks very much Phil. That sits about right with when I recall picking it up and I do know the Talking Heads albums were only available as imports for a long, long time. We'll use your supplied date as starter Phil but I think it will be on the money in the long run.

I've no idea of a date on this one but I'd guess mid to late nineties. The Talking Heads were long out of print on CD in Australia from my recollection.

TISM - The White Albun (2004)
I should have put this (from Discogs) in the notes but I'll drop in here anyway
"The White Albun" was only available as part of this three disc package and was disqualified from the Australian charts as a result.
Disc 1 is a DVD of a live concert recorded on 26th September 2003 at the Hi Fi Bar, Melbourne, featuring a "Save Our TISM" telethon in which TISM announce they will retire from the music business unless AU$1M is raised before the end of the show.
Disc 2 is the CD album "The White Albun".
Disc 3 is a DVD collection of video compiled un the title "A Docunentary"".
So there you have it a CD but not a CD and that's official.

Various Artists - The OKeh Rhythm & Blues Story: 1949-1957 (1993)
Thanks Phil, but I thought you'd still be in BB heaven? This set is historically significant but the first two CDs can get a bit samey. Some more Big Maybelle and Annie Laurie, Hurricane Harry, etc. would have spiced it up but the earlier jump blues is only good with good lyrics and quite a few on here haven't stood the test of time very well. The third CD is my favourite and is solid all the way through but is a good set and was cheap at the time of release which makes up for any of my little grievances about the consistency of song quality.

Various Artists - Tougher Than Tough (1993)
On the third CD the track 3-11 by Delroy Wilson, "I'm Still Waiting" is credited to B. Marley in the booklet and track 3-12 by Bob Marley And The Wailers "No Woman No Cry" is credited to V. Ford. These credits should be the other way around but that is how they appear in the booklet.
