There are some typos on titles and years due to songs redone for reissues on this and other sets. I get every one I find of my kind of music. You can always look up the records on 45 cat and 45 worlds.

old record nut 16th Apr 2022		CD Album Various Artists - One More Record Please (2006)	#21 Is" Turn The Record Over." #23 is "They All Recorded To Beat The Ban"(A reference to the action of James "Caesar" Petrillo the president of the American Federation of Musicians who called a strike that banned all Union musicians from commercial recordings from 1942 - 44 & in 1948 because of unfair royalty payments.)

Some of the reasons are addressed in the liner booklet as well as info on the acts.

This is what I learned on "you tube" due to a comment by Bob Kelly (channel) about a down load of the song by missanisssa. I have T 24 on the CBS rockabilly LP as by Derrell Felts showing the title as Its A Great Big Day Matrix ZSP47660 May24,1959 OKEH 7118.

His real name is Aurelio Voltaire Hernandez and uses his first and middle name because of other groups with similar names.

She does a great job on these Country & Western songs.Kicks butt on the Wanda Jackson cover, great blend with EmmyLou on Spade Cooley's Detour, right at home with the Cline covers, as well as the Ray Price covers. And would you believe Patsy Montana's big western hit. Who knew Cyndi could yodel! Just to think it's like the BR5-49 song "Little Ramona" has come to life.Great CD, you Hillbillies like me should grab up one. Mine is on Rhino R2 554096

The Colgems last 4 were were about twice the price of the early ones on the secondary market at that time with Head and the mono version of Birds and Bees topping $100.

old record nut 20th Jun 2020		CD Album Bill Haley And His Comets - Seven Classic Albums Plus Bonus Singles (2012)	These "Real Gone" sets are great and I buy every one I can find if I like the artist however Haley and the Comets sound the best on those Decca LPs. The sound just isn't the same on CD. It should be noted the 1960 albums are the Warner Brothers Rerecordings of the old hits.

old record nut 21st Mar 2020		CD Album Carl And Pearl Butler - Don't Let Me Cross Over (2006)	These sessions are from 1971 and 1972 for Chart Records (not Columbia). This album was released on Chart CHS 1051 and later as Richmond NCD 2396 and then on Gusto. Most all of their work is hard to find and out of print.
