spreadjoy 7th Aug 2014		CD Album Chubby Checker - Let's Twist Again	My First ever CD, purchased at Brashs in Sydney $9.99, boy was I disappointed at these poor recordings, it turned out to be The K-Tel Masters (unknown to me at the time). I had this CD for years before I had a player. I had to take it to a mates place to hear it. From memory it was distributed by the Rainbow Group.

Both Hughes & Music World (NZ) when releasing Cds in the early days of the CD you could actually hear Groove Lead in from the records they were using. Still, it gave us a chance to hear some great oldies on CD for the first time.

Or is this only for Cash Register scanning in Australia. As a matter of fact that Canadian/USA CD of which we spoke, the barcode started with 056 which designates "coupons', whatever that means.

spreadjoy 5th Aug 2014		CD Album Chubby Checker - Mr Twister (1992)	Hi nboldock, I admit it is a tricky one, I had to make a call, whichever whatway I guess I'd be in trouble. I can assure you that there is more of this type of thing to come, With all the Bootlegs????? that I have purchased over the years, the water get really muddy. As a matter of fact they may not be Bootlegs, they are all K-Tel product (99.7% anyway) stay tuned. For a Chubby fan it is amazing at the quantity of this stuff. In 2014 this CD is still selling for under $20.00, it is worth it for the 4th CD without mentioning the Chubby Checker albums. Best value for money I've seen in a long long time.
spreadjoy 3rd Aug 2014		CD Album Chubby Checker - Chubby Checker & Friends Ultimate Dance Mix (1988)	I have never seen this album anywhere else in the world. When I spoke to the owners of J&B Records back in the day they would not tell me from where the Masters were sourced. This album was produced in both LP & CD & Cassette They appear to be K-Tel Masters, remixed & jiggled along the style of Jive Bunny, interesting output.
