I did before submitting this (and one or two others of the same box set) speak to my fellow Mods to get some feedback on if this should or should not be listed..
The deciding factors in finding "exceptions" to the rule for this one is:
a. It was released as part of the 45x45 Singles box set, and,
b. It was promoted by the label as a CD Single release.
If you haven't already done so have a look at this forum post where the matter is discussed a bit more.
True, but to omit it would mean entering a singles box set with some of the discs missing, which I think we would all agree would be the wrong decision. On that basis I'd say things like this are some of the many "exceptions" to the general rules/guidelines.
In my opinion, this is an album ! When a single is included in an album box, that doesn't make it an album too. It's not because it's included in a singles box that this is a single !
