sladesounds 31st Jan 2013		My thoughts are that unless we know it is UK/Germany/etc. release only, then the use of the European flag seem appropriate. I think it has been mentioned somewhere in the forums recently that the majority of all CD production was down Austria way during the '90s. This link might be worth a look - Countries Issued. Be aware that there is an EU directive that says "Made in EU" must be put on CDs in some cases even if it is released in only one country.

JPGR&B SUBS 30th Jan 2013		That's a fair point, especially as I added that Beatles 3" CD myself. I put it as UK because I bought it at the time of issue and all the Beatles 3" CDs were released in UK, but if you look through each CD in the release of all the Beatles singles as 3" CDs there is a mixture of some Made in UK and some Made in Austria. I took that to be that EMI did not have enough manufacturing capability in the UK to keep up with demand. With this Linda McCartney CD single and later Paul McCartney and Beatles CDs, where it has said Made in EU I've added them under Europe. I think this is what Dr Doom intended when he introduced Europe in the list of countries. I'm no expert on which countries now manufacture CDs, but if the UK manufactured this CD, wouldn't it say Made in UK? I'd welcome views from Dr Doom and those who know about CD manufacturing in the UK (and the demise of) and manufacturing in EU...........this may be a can of worms!



Deltics 30th Jan 2013		But this one says "Made In Austria" and yet it's listed as a UK release.



JPGR&B SUBS 30th Jan 2013		Paul Vinyl, the disc says made in the EU so I think the country for this release should be the EU, as with this Linda release from the same album.
