It said at the time as Gilbert was approached to write a song to use as the 'theme tune' for this occasion, Gilbert say's if he was unable to come up with the right piece, he would offer
'Where Peaceful Waters Flow' which he wrote for his 'I'm A Writer, Not A Fighter' LP 1973.

 "Skiflug" = ski flying, a more extreme version of ski jumping.

The 1996 Ski Flying world championships were held in Austria so this would appear to be a genuine Austrian release rather than one of the many "made in Austria" pan-European releases we see.

Quite why Gilbert O'Sullivan recorded a single for it is quite another question though! (No idea).
