 Note the stickers... front was a price sticker, back a number sticker. It used to really annoy me, how shops would sticker merchandise and those stickers were in many cases not removable without ruining the packaging because they had a heavy glue to prevent price switching.

the back numbered sticker, was as a result of many shops opting for the "Lift" system...
CD racking which would only hold empty cases, sleeves and the discs were stored in cabinets behind the sales counter. You'd bring the packaging w/number to the counter and they would
match it up with the disc on a holder with the corresponding number. This also meant every disc was being handled by the shop personnel, with some very careless at fingerprinting discs!
