 Same here In the UK but I bought them on release. You had to put them In those Ring converters to play them (always falling out). As at that point In time they hadn't put the Little Dink In the CD tray. By the time they got around to putting the Dink In the tray, The 5" disc had taken hold. Good for those who have lots of them though. And If You listen very carefully on good Headphones You will hear that the early ones are Needle Drops. H.

 In the late 1980s, major labels here in the U.S.A. forayed a new medium to the general public. The four-tune (but it could be three) three-inch CD single. I questioned where to put this, because it could be considered a CDEP.
The medium flopped. Recall, the U.S.A. was still purveying full-sized CDs in "the long box".
When these flopped, the discs were cut-out and began turning up in closeout and discount stores like Big Lots and Dollar Tree. As someone who was shopping these stores back then, I bought a bunch of them, even though I did not yet have a CD player.
