 after a lot of experimenting I found that placing the disc in a plastic (acetate) sleeve designed to hold a card sleeve CD single, worked perfectly. The slight blurred effect of the sleeve completely cuts the reflection on a true mirrored (no music) surface. Any acetate sleeve will work, from a 45. The trick is to find one in your collection which has almost no scratch marks or creasing which will show up across the disc.

I use Photoshop, so a little altering was done also to sharpen and improve the image. Thanks for the compliment. :)
