Ben Craven: Back in April 2007 we took a few tracks from my album Two False Idols, and stripped them back for an acoustic Sunday afternoon in Desert Comb Studio, with a small audience.
The Under Deconstruction EP was the result. The title was also rather meant as a metaphor for the state of the music industry, so the EP was made freely available in support of DRM-free music downloads.
(Well, we won the war on DRM. At least I think we did. It’s far more likely that DRM was just a side issue, which never really addressed the real problem of how to monetise legitimate music downloads in the first place.)
