So... 2 years later (I've been busy!) I hadn't noticed the promo only text on my CD so you're spot on, mine is a promo too, so now I can tick the "I own it box"!!
@safcforme
Hi,it's certainly true that some "stock" copies of CD Singles (and vinyl) were also used as Promo's by the record companies,by just adding a small Promo sticker to the back,(this was also done by some dodgy record dealers themselves,to add value;) but,in this case,the sticker looks correct,and,it has "Promo Only Not For Sale" on the Disc.so your "stock" copy could be added to the system as it's not on yet.
(PS They would normally add a "P" in the Cat.No. somewhere to indicate Promo,but,not always,as in this case)
cheers
The standard release (Which I have) has the same tracks, cat number, barcode and artwork. As far as I can see, the only difference is the jewel case promo sticker. Is this genuinely a promo? I haven't ticked the 'I own it box' or added it as an addition to the database as it's otherwise the same in all respects
