Dominique Petitgand - 10 Petites Compositions Familiales (1996)
This is a discussion we've had on previous occasions, and I agree that a 3" record with as many tracks as this could fit the definitions of an album. There have also been instances of an "album" being split into two, or even three or four 3" discs, thus gaining an album's length of music or even more. However, since the CD singles category is the only place where one can enter 3-inches, this is where these would have to go.

But hey, wait a minute, there is something here which defies my sense of logic. Why then, should vinyl singles be defined by their format, but CD singles by their length or number of tracks? Shouldn't this random example from 45cat also be defined as an album using the same criteria? Furthermore, the Petitgand entry is part of a series (Cinéma Pour L'Oreille), where some of the records may contain only one track, while other has several short tracks. What could be gained by putting 2 CDs in the same series in two different categories?

My suggestion would be to leave the 3" singles where they are and adjust the option of adding more tracks than eight.

This will also have to be moved. And this. And this. And this. And this. And this. And this.

Then this entry will also have to be moved, resulting in an in my opinion split-up of this 3" series. Furthermore, 3" is not an option in albums.

A 3-inch CD, clocks in under 20 minutes and categorized as an album? I don’t think so.

Lost Trail - The Afternoon Vision (2014)
@Magic Marmalade...

Yes, I would agree that this is technically an album - but released on separate 3" discs. As 45worlds increases in volume, there will be more entries like this. To me, there is a simple solution to the problem: Make 3" an available format in the CD albums category. This should benefit your mental health - and mine. Since the CD album category is more flexible (i.e. you can add several discs, use SECTIONBREAK etc.), it would make discs like this much easier to add!

Dale Lloyd - Taurion, Trou De Lapin (2012)
Although a limited release, this is not a promo. So, since a non-promo CDR does not seem to be an option in the CD singles group, the 3" format would seem to be the best option here. This also matches the other entered 3-inches on the Kaon label.

Jean-Marc Duchenne - Feuillets D'Album (Le Narratif Et Le Plastique: 2ème Volet) (1995)
A 3" record can clock in to a little above 20 minutes, if utilized to its fullest. And if the tracks are short, like in this case (longest track: 3.25, shortest track: 1.14), there is room for at least 11 tracks. A 20-minute CD with this many tracks could naturally be referred to as a mini-album, but since the 'CD singles' category is the only place where 3" records are an option, they must end up here. And speaking of convential definitions, double CD singles (of which I have a few) is still not an option this category.

This CD contains short electronic pieces in the musique concrete genre.

Dog Hallucination - Serving Two Masters (2013)
First of all, the CD contains separate tracks. The cover (image #2277459) seems to list the track names as they are entered here. The track listing is also entered in this way by e.g. Discogs.
