(1989)	This was on one of those Top Of The Pops on Friday last... and I've seen the vinyl single about, but always thought it was a little brightly coloured pop princess stuff. Saw it, realised I remembered the song, and was struck by how ahead of the curve it sounds... at least four or five years later, this could easily have held it's own in Brit-pop land. Great tune. (Gave it a good clean inside and out earlier, and while most of the goom is gone, there's still some slight striping, which I have discovered is flecks of dust in the bulb hood / reflector, and is a pain in the whatsit to get into without damaging the surprisingly thin bulb) ... but bright or stark colours don't come out too well just now, so am picking light / dark covers , and as close to monochrome covers as I can for now - and at lower dpi (150) as higher res seems to bring more stripey-ness... think the bulb itself might be struggling a bit now too).
