Teito Monogatari (Tokyo: The Last Megalopolis) (1988) (1988)
I was going to review this, but all what needs to be said is it's not as good as the anime. The special FX were good at the time, but now I think most people will laugh at them.

This is a loose remake of 1953 American film. It is very violent and features some great stunts, highly recommended.

Jubilee (1978) (1978)
Times Square was like a really bad rip-off of a John Hughes film. Suburbia I quite like; it was like the Kids from the Black Hole song brought to life, but not not as good as it should have been given the same director did three excellent documentaries and scored a home run later with Wayne's World. Rude Boy - I've not seen I was put off by it being over 2 hours long.

Oh, also forgot Sid & Nancy. Great acting by Gary Oldman and some excellent photography, but given Alex Cox knows punk and was friends with Joe Strummer it came across like it was written by somebody who read Sex Pistols biography and put it into a film. For some reason people love that film though.

Jubilee (1978) (1978)
@Burton LeB Great review. I rated it slightly higher at 6 out of 10. I think it is style over substance. Every punk film I've seen has been a disappointment, unless it's a documentary: Fabulous Stains, Breaking Glass, Times Square, Who killed Bambi?, Jubilee. They're all a good snapshot of the time, but where's the punk equivalent of Quadrophenia?

Coming Down The Mountain (2007) (2007)
"Drama about the relationship between two young brothers. David is a typical 15-year-old with a colourful imagination. Ben is slightly older and has Down's syndrome. When their family decide to move for the sake of Ben's education, David's growing resentment of his brother takes a macabre turn."

I forgot about Benny Hill. I can definitely see that now, a lot of his sketches were very cartoonish as well as being classic comedy of manners and slapstick.

Dirty Weekend (1993)
I've got The Nightcomers (1971) to watch later this year. It's weird if Winner wasn't known for Death Wish who knows what he would have directed as his 60s films like I'll Never Forget What's'isname are really more in the style of Kitchen Sink dramas. I wouldn't say he is a great director, but Bronson's monotone acting (who can be a great actor) and endless sequels to Death Wish really gave him a bad reputation, coupled with the fact he had the reputation of being a diva on and off set. His restaurant reviews are occasionally hilarious if you are into his acerbic humour and he was one of the few people to argue against Mary Whitehouse and film censorship for most his career. Along with his friend Ken Russell sorely missed in a slew of mediocre directors that copy Pulp Fiction, Woody Allen or Richard Curtis ad-nauseum.

My favourite quote: "An OBE is what you get if you clean the toilets well at King's Cross station" - No wonder he wasn't knighted.

Chillerama (2011) (2011)
Just to echo what Twistin said I saw this on Netflix when they offered a 1 month trial for free, to give you an idea how long ago it was. I was expecting something which referenced films like The Blob or a good anthology with some nods and winks to horror films like V/H/S. As mentioned campy and unfunny and owes more to (bad) Troma films than schlock horror films of the 60s\70s.

The Flesh And Blood Show (1972) (1972)
I saw this recently. I have to agree as much of a fan as I am of Pete Walker, it suffers from comparisons to Theatre Of Blood which is miles better. Flesh and Blood Show is quite dull, like a lot of the earlier Pete Walker films it feels like it's a 60 minute film stretched out to 93 minutes.
