Magic Marmalade 9th Aug 2016		Cinema Requiem For A Dream (2000) (2000)	This was on Film 4 last night, so another film I've been meaning to see I can cross off my list. Bleak, but very good. Ellen Burstyn is brilliant, as are the rest of the cast. Not as graphic or horrendous as you might think (or as I'd been led to believe), the camera angles and what is actually depicted on screen are very carefully selected, and leave most of the awfulness as purely implied. It's just a quite distressing story rather than a brutal onslaught of visually illustrated depravity. (that is... not Antichrist, or almost another Lars von Trier ordeal).

(my apologies Ms Cameron... I'd probably not be her cup of tea either if she met me, but that's life eh... Marmalade Marmalade Marmalade.... Marmalade Marmalade! :)

Magic Marmalade 8th Aug 2016		Cinema The Fifth Element (1997) (1997)	I love this film. Luc Besson's frequent musical collaborator Eric Sera does the music for this, with his track: Little Light Of Love featuring at the end in edited form, from the album: RXRA.
Magic Marmalade 3rd Aug 2016		Cinema Jason Bourne (2016) (2016)	Been um-ing and ah-ing about this... as it seems like just another "franchise" movie from the advert I'd seen, and got the impression they might be overcooking the action, and losing some of the gritty realism that made the original what it was. But might have a look see. (Hope Bond movies don't slide back to nonsense land again.... Tom Hiddleston: Non.) ((Wouldn't mind Idris Elba though))
