nboldock 23rd Jun 2015		Cinema If I Should Fall From Grace: The Shane MacGowan Story (2001) (2001)	Not a bad film, with some good interview footage (Maurice MacGowan, Shane's Dad, is great) and rare concert clips alongside the familiar stuff. However nothing compares to the superb BBC documentary "The Great Hunger - The Life And Songs Of Shane MacGowan", which has criminally never been released on DVD.

nboldock 24th May 2015		Cinema Naked (Mike Leigh's Naked) (1993) (1993)	Easily one of my favourite films ever. Without wishing to sound pretentious I think it's more than just a movie, it's a work of art - it's trying to say something - I've never been able to work out quite what though. The acting is fantastic and the semi-improvised script is eminently quotable. David Thewlis is absolutely on fire as the nihilistic and hate-filled Johnny. It's not a happy film - it's a nasty and dark piece of work - but I love it and could watch it over and over again. Here's a clip (strong language therein)... [YouTube Video]
