Saw this on telly when it came out as a child and it was wonderful. Grown ups, groaned about the suitability of the time slot (Xmas or New Year's Eve) and the appropriateness of the content. Meanwhile, kids like me lapped it up and thought the kerfuffle over the show was typical of the hoo-hah that older generation perpetrated.
