 Hispanic Interest Film.

Cast: J. Carrol Naish, Arturo de Córdova, Nestor Paiva, Fernando Alvarado, Pepito Pérez, Martín Garralaga, Julián Rivero.

Plot: Explores the effects of racism and poverty on the Mexican American community during World War II. Benny receives a posthumous medal for his military service, an event celebrated by his community until, too late, they realize his surname is the Spanish Martín, not the Anglo Martin.

Alternate title: Donde nacen los héroes.
