YankeeDisc SUBS 19th May 2016		This film is shown fairly often on freeview ""London Live" [channel 8] which appears to have rights to screen old Ealing (and Gainsborough?) films, and they have shown at least sixty of their output to my knowledge. I just lap them up, as they portray an England which no longer exists. They (Ealing Studios films) are quintessentially so English it hurts, and almost every actor/actress speaks perceived English with a "plummy" accent, don't cha know, old chap. David Farrar plays a thorough rotter in this film, an ex-RAF officer, and inveterate womaniser, .....who once had doe eyed Jean Simmons in his thrall......will he get his in the end........we'll have to see.
