Quad5point1 ● 7th Jan 2016		They've done an amazing restoration on the Blu-Ray version. If you like the movie it's a worthy investment



zabadak 7th Jan 2016		Rated 8/10 Amazing film! Saw this as a man-cub at school as an end-of-term treat (as we had studied the book for a term) and it kinda went over my head. Saw it again a few years ago and loved it instantly! It was on over Xmas here and I fell in love with it all over again! The young Pip and Estella are played to perfection. Jean Simmons was a great beauty and it was easy to see how poor Pip fell under her spell. John Mills as the more grown-up leads is, as you would expect, a shining star (also look out for a very young Alec Guinness!) but the mature Estella is a bit of a drag. She was supposed to be a great beauty but, sadly, the chosen actress could not live up to that! Anyway.
