 Interesting.

I started watching it on DVD but had to stop - just as NASA got involved - as we had a guest (who's still here!!!).

I noticed that the sound of the dialogue wasn't too great (mumble, mumble, mumble) but the music sounded ace!

I do like Matthew Mc.Corny-eh? so I will probs just watch it from the beginning again, when I get a chance.

This was incredible in the cinema.

In general the smaller auditoriums that modern cinema multi-plexes have so they can jam more screens in means that by matching the scale of the audio to the size of the screen squished into too small a room makes everything way too loud... to the point of actually being painful....

But with this, it was a real bonus, as the weighty, organic church organ score that genius Hans Zimmer produced made the entire room vibrate in a deep and not entirely unpleasant way, that shook right through to my bones, greatly contributing to the sense of awe and wonder that is the subject of the film itself... and it may be worth seeking out that score on CD as potential Hi-Fi equipment testing material.

The other thing that struck me about the experience in the cinema was something I can honestly say I have never seen in any screening of any film before... not one person left the room at any point during the movie (for a pee, or another drink or whatever), and this was a full auditorium!
