Dr Doom SUBS 13th Jan 2016		Rated 5/10 It seems a bit trite to dismiss a film from 1954 as being dated but this really is. The whole premise of an American psychiatrist being held up at gunpoint by a young English villain (Dirk Bogarde) and instead of letting the police deal with it taking him into his home and trying to rehabilitate him is a bit hard to believe. Dirk Bogarde is just too posh sounding too. Overall the whole film is pretty unconvincing and doesn't really make it as a drama or a pseudo-noir IMHO. 3 people found this review helpful. ✔︎ Helpful Review?
