@Gill Sans
Hi, thanks for completing the entry, looks much better.
(Still sealed so i can't check the Disc as it's going on ebay;)
Discogs has this entry, which uses the same Cat No., and there's no indicators on that Disc, just CSM Productions in the run out, so, still unsure of label, there is mention of "WKE Konzert & Eventveranstaltungs GmbH", but WKE is not on my release.
So, it is the Vienna Philharmonic which usually does the new year concert from Vienna, i see.
Here's what Discogs has to say about the Schloss Schönbrunn Orchester...
"
The Schönbrunn Palace Orchestra is a traditional Viennese chamber orchestra that formed in 1997. Since May 1, 2016, the orchestra's performances have been produced by WKE Konzert & Eventveranstaltungs GmbH.
In the Orangerie Schönbrunn in Vienna, Austria, the Schönbrunn (or Schoenbrunn) Palace Orchestra plays the most famous works of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Johann Strauss every evening and is accompanied by solo vocalists. The orchestra has also performed internationally.
Can also appear as "Schönbrunner Schlossorchester"."

("EVERY evening" ?, blimey!.)

Any clues on the disc? This has been issued on Preiser in June 2013.

The New Year's concert from Vienna was played on BBC TV by the Vienna Philharmonic under Riccardo Muti, while on Radio 3 it was by the (Austrian) ORF Radio Symphony Orchestra, Vienna conducted by Joana Carneiro.

Could someone attribute the tracks to their respective composers, as, i don't know much about classical composers at the mo as none are attributed on the artwork, just "Komponiert von Johann Strauss und W.A.Mozart".
Curiously, this does not match the entry on Discogs with the same Cat No., as it has different artwork.
Unsure of label also as IMaGE is not a label as far as i can see?, and CSM is just the manufacturer, so have left it blank for the mo.
Is this the orchestra that plays in the Orangerie Schönbrunn in Vienna and is on the telly as the new year concert?

The Purcell Brothers Daniel And Henry; Chamber Music
The styles of the two brothers are closely matched, and there is some uncertainty about whether Daniel completed some of Henry's scores. The Rondo from the Keyboard Suite In D Major is very familiar as the theme from Henry's Abdelazer suite, which was used with variations for Britten's "Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra".

This is a compilation of performances originally issued on Vinyl albums; the credited performers may have recorded them more than once. For example, The Perfect Fool appeared on two Decca albums in 1955 and 1947 which may have been of the same performance, though the later album does not show a copyright date.

John Tavener: Thunder Entered Her
This set shows us Tavener at his most intense, and, yes, Thunderous. My copy has just arrived in the post, so I have been listening to it, one track at a time because it is not something you can have on in the background. The dynamics of the title track, for instance, take the organ and choir from pp to fff.

By complete coincidence, I opened YouTube to look for this track and was greeted with a tribute upon the death of tenor William Kendall a week ago. Let this track also serve as a tribute to Kendall.

Bach Concerto Transcriptions
I think that "Three Centuries Of Musick" is a label series, with Peerless as the label. The sleeve shows an association also with the Oryx label, though the catalogue number for this record is clearly for "3 Centuries" and is quite different from the Oryx numbers.

Perhaps we should leave this under Peerless until we see other entries for either label?

Hi PhilMH,
Yes, i see where you're coming from, but, Discogs seems to think that the appearance of the little cherub on the record indicates the label Angel Records, even if it has no text beneath.
See here (read "show more"), in which case, shouldn't it then just be be Angel? (if we are going to ignore EMI being the parent as you suggest)(also see LC0110 label code).

Smetana - Má Vlast
I would just call it EMI, Greg, as the word Angel doesn't actually appear anywhere - that was typically only used on releases in the Americas and Far East. Where the EMI logo appears in conjunction with another recognised label brand like Columbia, Parlophone, HMV, Stateside, Capitol, etc. then just use that label brand, and not EMI/Columbia, etc; the EMI logo was only used to indicate that the label was part of the EMI group, and EMI was only a label where no other label logo (as distinct from series logo) was present.
