Weihnachtsmusik, for string trio, piano and harmonium. Unlike Schoenberg's better-known atonal composing style, this is traditinally tonal, being written for his family to play one Christmas. This starts with a quote from Es ist ein Ros' entsprungen (There is no rose of such vertu):

I continue to work my way through the tracks here, and today's favourite is the Liszt transcription of Adeste Fideles, which manages to be rather intense but always with a sense of fun, shown by the repeated use of the " 'Ave A Banana" phrase. The pianist here is not credited and this version does not seem to be on YT but there is a good live performance by
