TheJudge 16th Sep 2014		Classical Item Various Artists - Debussy, Ravel	Here's another scanning glitch: the 'Abbado Edition' lettering down the right-hand side of the front, and Abbado signature, are supposed to be in reflective gold print.

TheJudge 24th Aug 2014		Classical Item New London Consort, Philip Pickett - Carmina Burana (1994)	Just to avoid any potential misunderstanding: this is not the Carl Orff Carmina Burana (although it does have some of the texts in common); the music here is based on mediaeval musical manuscripts.
TheJudge 24th Aug 2014		Classical Item Various Artists - Double Sextet/2x5 (2010)	One of the few distinctions in my cultural life was being present at the world première of 2x5 at what was then called the Manchester Velodrome in July '09. Bang On A Can played it in support of Kraftwerk (the famous gig where KW's Tour De France was accompanied by the GB Olympic Cycling Team). A description/report of the event is on my blog.
