Guide - Adding Classical Music
Adding items is easy and quick, but we ask you try and follow these guidelines.
Images We strongly request that you also submit an image of the item you're adding. This helps us verify the entry and makes the website more interesting. Artist Name The artist name is whatever is printed on the disc you are adding. Usually this is a mix of perfomer, composer, orchestra etc, for example: Karajan and Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra Performers: Composer, Orchestra / Ensemble, Soloist, Conductor Does your item have a distinct composer, orchestra, soloist or conductor? These performers can be optionally added; they will then be listed in the relevant discographies. More performers can be added by using the "Add Missing Info" link. Track Sections Some classical discs seperate the tracks into sections. For example this disc has 7 sections. To add a section, include the text phrase SECTIONBREAK in the track title. In the linked example, the 4th track was entered as: Sketches In Time SECTIONBREAK Venetian Waltz Formatting Please don't use ALL CAPITAL LETTERS. Double Item? Double items can be added by clicking the "Add Tracks to Second Item" link. Triple Item, Box Set, or more than 30 tracks per disc? By default up to 60 tracks can be added across 2 Items. If there are more items or tracks, then they can be added after you submit the record, by clicking "Add Missing Info".
