Well the number, if I'm not mistaken, is something in the order of a billiion+, and I don't think there's that many records of any kind in existence, so it's got to either break down into some kind of system, or mean something in some way.

The catalogue number looks a lot like the method used on the quad Rostropovitch I entered, and that, and others of a similar label design and cataloguing system are seventies-eighties issues.

Well, the four first digits could be a date, december 1979. But I don't know for shure, because there is no other date mark on the record or inner sleeve. No P in a circle with a date or something like that. Only the recording dates, somewhere in 1953.

I just noticed the red/pink flash there, and when I enlarged it, I wondered (hoped forlornly) if it might be a date stamp, but it doesn't look like it breaks down into any sensible date sadly.

I wonder if it's a newer issue, and that maybe this is som kind of makeshift barcode?

(Ten digits, which would make it more recent still)

But more likely it is someone's personal cataloguing system, or possibly a limited edition numbering - but that's quite a massive number for any ltd. let alone a classical item.

Indiana Jones And The mystery of the ten digits - In cinemas now! :)

Sharp eyes, M.Marmelade! The number is 1279168212 in fluorecent red color, but I don't know what it means. Do you know (or someone elso) something more?

What's that number stamped on the top right of the front cover in pink, by the Decapo logo, keebrev?
